Dear friends,
As many of you know, I’ve been working with WomenCrush Music this past year or so. It’s been quite the year of showcases, of getting to know some incredible ladies, of seeing something really special get off the ground. Unfortunately, I can no longer devote myself to ensuring this chapter continues to grow the way I’ve always envisioned it might – more networking, education, retreats, and more frequent showcases.
So, as of the end of this summer, I will be stepping down as the Denver/Boulder Chapter Leader.
I am so proud of the community we’ve created together over the past year, and can’t wait to see it evolve with Megan Rose Ellsworth at the helm. We’ve been doing a lot of brainstorming, dreaming up all the ways we can better support our community of songstresses, and I think it could be something really special.
This doesn’t mean I’m gone – far from it. I started this chapter because I wanted to support women in music and that hasn’t changed. I’ll always be around to lend an ear, grab a drink, offer advice, books, or other resources should you need me.
I hope to see y’all for a little farewell at our next showcase, August 30th when Caroline Stump Music & Luna Nuñez join me for a night of songs and stories in the round at Burns Family Artisan Ales.
